The Forest College and Research Institute, Hyderabad (of FCRI) is one of such specialised institutions in the country that opened its doors only in 2016 and provides education in forestry and science disciplines. Siddipet District, Mulugu, Telangana, India, This young institute has however risen and considered amongst the Forestry educational institute to reckon with. Located across a vast expanse of 130 Acres of land, FCRI facilitates various undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral programmes in forestry and related disciplines. The actual student population is 198 whereas the faculty strength it thereof posited with 24 members help the learners to have individualistic learning environment with focus on becoming a professional forester.

The institute has fully residential campuses, to facilitate academic activities and separate hostels for boys and girls. The FCRI, an affiliated College of Osmania University, Hyderabad, has a wide variety of courses in existence that can be accommodated in different classes of study. The pioneer programs is the B.Sc Forestry (Hons) which is a full time course of four years duration with a sanctioned strength of 60 students.

There are specified admission requirements for the admission of students to the FCRI and admission is done on merit.
