Gautam Buddha Mahavidyalaya, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is an affiliated college started in 2007. This co-educational school is located in Dhurrawa, Sudi-Ka-Pura, Saidabad, and Handia and is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college offers two full-time degree programmes: D.El.Ed and B.Ed. The college offers a multitude of courses with a total student strength of 1815, which are studied in the comfortable environment of Gautam Buddha Mahavidyalaya. 

Gautam Buddha Mahavidyalaya is affiliated with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. To improve the students’ experience, the college has numerous features that are available for the students. A good library is essential for students and academic staff to have ready access to learning and information resources. There is a cafeteria on campus to allow the students’ interaction and rest during their break from class. For cultural as well as academic performance, Gautam Buddha Mahavidyalaya has a large hall or an auditorium. There are two courses offered in Gautam Buddha Mahavidyalaya to satisfy the learning inclination of the learners. The D.El.Ed programme is a full-time course extended over two academic years, giving the students a liberal education in humanities and social sciences. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year, full-time programme aimed at producing professional teachers, with an approved capacity of one hundred (100) students. First, both courses contain theoretical knowledge and practical work which will help students to prepare for their future professions or other academic levels. 

Unlike the course structure, Gautam Buddha Mahavidyalaya has diverse methods of admitting students depending on the course taken. Admission of students for the B.Ed programme for the college is based on the merit criterion, where the candidate has been assessed on marks secured in the qualifying exam as well as the college entrance exam.
