Gayatri Institute of Science and Technology, Berhampur (GIST) is a centre of learning started in 2006 located at Gaunju, Berhampur,Odisha. This affiliated college presents a tolerant spectrum of programmes in science and technology, which meets the needs and desires of students who want to receive high-quality education in requisite area. GIST offer five unique course with four degree programmes and can accommodate undergraduate or postgraduate levels.
The facilities offered in GIST are said to have a setup that enables the student to experience developments in their learning process. Gayatri Institute of Science and Technology library is another important resource in the learning process of the college students, as it is procuring students with vast information and referencial sources. That is why GIST is now equipped with first-rate IT platforms and resources in order to provide students with up-to-date technology facilities. For those who have a sports personality and like physical activities, the institute has sports amenities that ensure students enjoy their physical activities while they study, enhancing their studies, and physical training. These include three undergraduate courses: At present the college offeres – Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) having the intake capacity of ninety-six students, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) having the intake capacity of sixty students and Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (Honours) having the intake capacity of thirty students. At the postgraduate level, GIST runs masters’ degree in Science in two areas namely; a Biotechnology and Computer Science.
