GJ Patel Institute of Ayurvedic Studies and Research, Anand was established in the year 2005. This is the premier institution in Gujarat, India, which delivers education in Ayurveda. Sited in Vitthal Udyog Nagar, Anand, this constituent college has a spacious campus of 15 acres. The institute offers three specialized courses in two degree programs with a total student enrollment of 414, while the faculty strength is 55, which helps the institute to maintain a favorable student-to-teacher ratio.

The admission procedure at GJ Patel Institute of Ayurvedic Studies and Research is based on national-level entrance examinations. In the case of BAMS, it takes students based on performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test—NEET. For the postgraduate level under the MD course, entrance is offered based on the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test—AIAPGET.
