    Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Oral Medicine and Radiology is three years duration full-time course offered by Goa University,Taleigao Plateau, Goa, and approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI).

    Eligibility Criteria

    A candidate for admission to the Master's in Dental Surgery (MDS) course must possess:

    1) A recognised Bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery awarded by Goa University or any other University recognised as equivalent thereto by Goa University and the Dental Council of India.

    2) A Permanent/Provisional registration with the State Dental Council.

    3) A certificate of Compulsory Rotatory Internship for a period of one year in an approved/recognised Dental College in India.

    4) A 15 years Residence Certificate/Domicile Certificate in the state of Goa preceding the last date of receipt of application vide Official GazetteGovernment of Goa Notification No.9-9-99-IV/PHD(Part-I) Series I No.51 dated 21/03/2005 provided that the requirement of minimum period of residence as aforesaid shall not apply to BDS students of All India Quota who are admitted to the Goa Dental College and Hospital from First year BDS till completion of one year Compulsory Paid Rotating Internship as per Official Gazette-Government of Goa (ExtraOrdinary) Series I No.51 dated 21st March, 2005.

    Admissions to the postgraduate (MDS) course for candidates under All India Quota will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and the selection of candidates under the State Quota will be done based on All India Statewise merit list drawn from the NEET MDS results for all categories as prescribed by the State Government at the time of admission.

     Students who have passed out BDS from colleges outside the state of Goa will have a separate merit list and will be considered for counselling only if the seats are vacant after the merit list of the students who have passed out from Goa Dental College and Hospital is exhausted.

    Admission Details

    The order of merit for admission to the Post-Graduate Degree shall be based on State-wise merit secured by the eligible applicants at the National Eligibilitycum-Entrance Test NEET-MDS examination for the concerned academic year.
