Government College Kalapipal is located 65 km from Bhopal at the Indore-Bhopal track of the Western Railway. It came into existence in 1989 in an ancient temple in the village. Since then it has steadily progressed from a narrowly cloistered bunch of local students to a spacious campus of about 4.18 hectares with more than 700 students in 2017. it now caters to a varied crowd of rural and semi-rural students in a radius of 20 km. In the beginning it had only a B.A. degree to offer, but in course of time commerce and science stream courses were offered.

At that time this region was singularly deficient in educational institutions; hence, this college was envisioned to play a sheet-anchor role in molding the lives of rural youth, and it is heartening and deeply gratifying to know that it has delivered. Moreover, what is yet more important and wonderful about this institute is the fact that girls make up about 80% of the student community. It is, therefore, very well placed to play a significant role in their empowerment and social justice.

Government College, Kalapipal has provided five courses. For applicants who have an interest in life sciences, this is the course conducted. Only merit-based Government College.
