Government Degree College Boys, Baramulla was established in 1943 in Khwaja- Bagh, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. Primarily being an affiliated college which is located in a very vast area of 30 acres this educational institute has contributed a lot in the field of higher education in the concerned the region for more than seven decades. NCAA accredited college offering 22 different courses on eight degree programmes to the 2,840 total students. The faculty comprises of 39 highly qualified and committed teachers, offering a reasonable student teacher ratio in order to ensure healthy student teacher interaction as well as quality teaching.

As we have mentioned the admission process of the Government Degree College Boys, Baramulla is different for different courses. Most of the undergraduate programmes such as BA, B. Sc, etc admit students based on their performance. But for specialised courses as BCA the admissions are made on the basis of scores obtained in Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The BBA programme is governed by rules and regulation formulated by University of Kashmir and also by administering an entrance test.
