Affiliated college in Kalidas Nagar, Dharwad, Karnataka is Government First Grade College Kundgol, founded in the year 2007 The college covered an area of five hectare land. This institution is located in a 2 acre area and is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). At present, the college has total number of 340 students and 8 faculties and teaching staffs, the college has 4 under graduate courses of two heterogeneities degree programmes. Therefore the gender distribution of the students is relatively fairly standardised with 230 male students and 232 female students. The college is exclusively devoted to Arts and Commerce teaching which is most appropriate for students with an interest in scholarship.

Government First Grade College has taken time to provide various coping amenities that seek to enrich the lot of the students. Essential academic items are accommodated in a comfortable library; the library is stocked with 7,155 books and other related materials such as maps, CDs etc. The students are current with affairs with dailies, weeklies and periodicals which include 4 newspapers, 6 magazines, and 4 journals. The institution also has a facility of sports so that students can engage in physical activities and also have team spirit. In order to provide students with an opportunity to develop their skills for the contemporary world, the college has ensured that the institution has developed excellent Information Technology resources. Nevertheless for those who need to be accommodated there are two options; Boys’ Hostels and Girls’ Hostels which are well fitted to offer comfortable accommodation. It has also a health centre to ensure students’ health with adequate first aid facilities booked for patrons of the college. In this campus, there is a cafeteria where hot and nutritional meals are provided at group loved prices and for special diets.

Government First Grade College, Kundgol has total number of 4 undergraduate full time courses. These are three B.A programmes with differing majors and a B.Com programme. More so, the offered BA programme including History, Economics and Political Science, History, Economics, and Optional Kannada, History Sociology and Optional English among others. Each of these courses takes 3 years to complete. The college admits 340 students through all the courses, thus being able to PA and offer every student an excellent learning environment.
