Maulana Azad Memorial Post-Graduate College, Jammu was set up in 1954 and it situated at Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir and is one of the constituent college of the University. The NAAC accredited campus of this institution is located over a vast area of 19.58 acres, and this institution has 10 courses under 6 degrees. The total enrolment of the college is 4077 students and 64 faculties implying that the college has good students’ teacher ratio. It is noteworthy that, for the most part, the institute caters for undergraduates with only 97% and post graduate students 3%. For instance, the college has a rather skewed gender ratio with 4: 1 in the undergraduate level where 81% are male and 19% are female students whereas post graduate level has 58% female and 42% male students.

The institute offers 10 courses out of which some are undergraduate as well as postgraduate. At the undergraduate level a student can do BA, B.Sc (Non-Medical), BBA, BCA, B.Sc Physics, B.Sc Mathematics, and BA English. For postgraduate, the college awards M.Sc Mathematics, MA Music, and MA Mathematics. All these programmes are full time regular courses under graduate and post graduate programmes which offer intensive knowledge and skills in respective fields. In total as many as 3,534 students were enrolled in the college during the academic year 2022 Of them 3,437 were in first and second degree programmes while 97 were in the postgraduate level.
