Government Polytechnic College Bikaner was started in the year 1960 it is one of the premier technical institution in the region situated in Bikaner Rajasthan. This is a co-educational institute with diploma courses in different fields of engineering under technical board education of state. Located on a 45 acre area, this college offers admission to total 457 students out of which 36 are faculties. This institute is affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which assures the quality standard of the education provided in conformity with the standard education provided in conformity to the Indian standard. The College Established at Bikaner offers six diploma courses in technical education mainly engineering streams to fulfill the dreams of students who want to gain industry based knowledge at vocational level.

Its objective is to foster a learning atmosphere within a campus that has adequate facilities which are necessary to meet the needs of learners. The campus has modern laboratories for practical training which it lacks in diploma courses. A good library system as a información center provides technical books and journals. In the entire course, only 270intake have been approved across all the courses, and this shows that there is a lot that the institute can offer engineers.
