Located on a vast piece of land of 20.32 acres the college has an over all seat capacity of 660 students and faculty of 23. Government Polytechnic College one of the renowned college offering four diploma programs since 1979 with emphasis on industry-focused education.
The Government Polytechnic College is aimed at delivering quality education to all its students and to ensure provision of facilities for holistic development. The nerve centre of the campus is a barcoded computerized library that has stocked a variety of about 17500 volumes, 4200 titles and eighteen journals. This RM is an important function in view of knowledge dissemination and encouragement of research. Owing to the welfare of its students, the college has a facility and services of the health centre including first aid.
