Government Polytechnic, Jangareddygudem is the first institute in West Godavari in the state of Andhra Pradesh. In 2008, this college was established. It is a technical institution that offers engineering diploma courses, which are approved by AICTE. The campus is compact and covers 5 acres with a total strength of 181 students and 17 members on its faculty. It offers two three-year full-time diploma courses, in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on technical education. It will act as a centre for creating engineering professionals for this very sector.
Government Polytechnic, Jangareddygudem is provided with facilities to enhance the process of learning. The college library is a valued resource centre, which provides access to an abundance of technical literature and reference works. Laboratories well-equipped to both Civil and Mechanical Engineering students fulfill their practical teaching requirements, so they get hands-on practice in the associated disciplines.
