Government Polytechnic, Khutri: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Government Polytechnic, Khutri was inaugurated by honourable chief minister Sri Bindeswari Dubey of Bihar in the year 1986. GPK Khurti is a Government College which is funded by the state government. Initially, Government Polytechnic, Khutri, started at Janamore, Bokaro in a rented building. GPK Khurti was shifted to its own building in the year 1997. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Government Polytechnic Khutri is an Autonomous institution which is under the control of the State Board of Technical Education, Ranchi. Government Polytechnic, Khutri provides Diplomas in Engineering courses in streams including Automobile Engineering, Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. 

As per past year’s data, the institute has produced more than 8,000 diploma engineers in these three disciplines. GPK Khurti provides some facilities to its faculties and students. Government Polytechnic Khutri has a dedicated training and placement cell separately. Each department is associated with some companies such as Steel Authority of India Limited, Year Glass, la-Opala, Borosil, Mahindra, Maruti Udyog and more.

The institute is situated in the industrial hub of Bokaro at Khutri about 20 km away from Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. Government Polytechnic, Khutri is located on the Bokaro-Patna national highway at a distance of about seven km from B.S City railway station. The location of the GPK, Khutri is 338 meters high at sea level. The nearest airport is Bokaro Airport which is situated 18 km away from the Government Polytechnic Khutri. Bokaro Bus Stand is located 14 km away from the GPK Khurti.
