About Government Polytechnic, Mirle

Government Polytechnic, Mirle is a co-ed government institute established in 2008 that offers a diploma degree in 4 different engineering courses to students who have completed 10th grade. The institute adheres to the rules and regulations of the Department of Collegiate and Technical Education (DCTE) and AICTE. The college is affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education, Bangalore. The courses offered are- diploma in computer science & engineering, diploma in civil engineering, diploma in electronics and communication engineering, and diploma in mechanical engineering. Students can choose any of these courses provided they meet the eligibility criteria. All these courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The diploma programme is a 3-year, full-time course. Students can apply for Karnataka state government scholarships through the NSP. The campus spreads over 12.35-acres of land and provides the students with different facilities like a stationery store on campus, a boys common room, girls common room, cafeteria, first-aid room, a drawing hall, departmental labs, a seminar hall, tutorial rooms, workshops, a language lab, library and reading room. The college has an active placement cell and a student's activity body, that organises a lot of activities and training that benefit the students.

Government Polytechnic, Mirle Scholarship

The Karnataka government offers various scholarships for the students of the state like-Incentive for SSLC Students, Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities, Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for Minorities. Students studying in Government Polytechnic, Mirle can avail the below scholarships/

The incentive for SSLC & 2nd PUC students: This scheme is run by the Minority Welfare Department, Directorate of Minorities, Government of Karnataka to help students of the minority community. Students who have passed class 10 (SSLC) or class 12 (2nd PUC) with 85% of marks or above in the examinations conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or Department of Pre-University Education will receive the benefits under this incentive scheme. The top 1000 SSLC and top 1000 2nd PUC students of the minority community can win one-time incentives of INR 10,000 and INR 20,000 respectively.

Post-matric scholarship for minorities: This Karnataka scholarship aims at encouraging and providing financial assistance to the students of the minority community of the state to allow them to continue their studies at the post-matriculation level. Applicable mainly to students of communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains, the scholarship tends to cover the admission fee, maintenance allowance and tuition fee.

Merit cum means scholarship for minorities: This is a popular scholarship for students belonging to minority communities who are willing to pursue a professional or technical course. Run by the Directorate of Minorities, Government of Karnataka, the scholarship offers rewards up to INR 30,000 to students who secure more than 50% marks in the previous examination and have an annual family income of less than INR 2.5 Lakh.

The students need to apply for scholarships after the enrollment process. Students availing any form of fee concession are not entitled for scholarships.
