Government Polytechnic, Quansi was established as an affiliated college in the year 2013. The institution is duly approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It offers diploma courses in engineering fields. Situated on a compact 5 acre campus, the polytechnic currently has a total student enrolment of 39 and a faculty strength of 3. 

The institute offers the following facilities to cater to the academic and personal development of its students. A well-equipped library is provided as a knowledge centre, having a wide range of books, periodicals, and journals pertaining to trades offered. Students can avail themselves of the loan of books for a period of seven days to foster reading habits. The polytechnic also has well-maintained discipline-based laboratories, especially in the field of Electrical Engineering, so that students may have practical hands-on experience to complement theoretical knowledge. Government Polytechnic, Quansi is presently offering two diploma courses: Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Civil Engineering. Both of these are full-time courses, each with a duration of three years. The institute has an intake capacity of 30 seats for each program, amounting to 60 seats for both courses.
