The Government Polytechnic Rayadurg is an affiliated college in Valmiki Nagar in Andhra Pradesh, near the Khasthuribha School and Bellary Road in Rayadurgam Rayadurg in Andhra Pradesh began in 2008. This technical institution which is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) provides education in the diploma level engineering fields. Located on a mere 6.05 acre plot, the polytechnic as of now has an occupancy of total students 222 and faculty members 12. Government Polytechnic, Rayadurg offer two regular diploma courses to offer technical education to the students in the Mechanical Engineering as well as Civil Engineering streams. 

Government Polytechnic has several amenities to ensure student’s total rounded well-being to meet their academic needs. The college library acts as a source of technical literature and as a general reference facility for the students. In order to provide practical session, the polytechnic boasts of modern and departmental laboratories. These labs are highly significant in fulfilling their purpose for transitioning students from the classroom environment to real life. Government Polytechnic, Rayadurg with an all-round focus provides only two diploma courses to the students. The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and the Diploma in Civil Engineering are both three-year courses, which help to create strong preparation for students concentrating in these areas. Each programme is approved for 60 students, which gives an aggregate of 120 student capacity per year.
