Government Women Polytechnic College, Jaipur (GWPC Jaipur) is one of the well-renowned women’s college which focus on providing technical education to women. This affiliated college came into existence in 1981 and is situated in Gandhi Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). GWPC Jaipur has numerous specialisations of diploma and degree. The college has infrastructure of 2.259 acres having strength of 475 students and 36 members of faculty. GWPC Jaipur was preferred for women education especially in textile designing, commercial arts and modern office management etc.

The college also has a policy of supporting a favorable ratio of students to teachers. Services provided by GWPC Jaipur include a host of services that help in comprehending the lessons better. The campus boasts of a well stocked library for this is the center of learning for the students and the faculty. For the spiritually inclined a girls hostel is provided by the institution and has a capacity of accommodating 68 students. In every college, considerable emphasis is made on exercising with a dedicated in-house fitness center manned by full-time trainers and full-titan fitness training equipment.

 For academic activities, the GWPC Jaipur is having various laboratories such as the centralized English Language Laboratory with the software known as ETNL. The college also hosts a computer lab that provides internet services to students and makes them relevant technologically. As for sports activities and other functions, a gymnasium with a playing field, as well as an auditorium on the premises is provided. Other facilities are a cafeteria, a health care center which includes first aid facilities, and spacious car parking facility for faculty, staffs and students.

GWPC Jaipur provides student with 9 programmes and spans across three degree levels that best suit different ambitions. Currently, the college offers both diploma and bachelors’ degree bearing full time programmes. Offered for three years, the diploma programmes include options like Modern Office Management, Commercial Art, Costume Design and Dress Making, Textile Design etc. The college offers a special two-year Diploma in Beauty Culture. Presently, bachelor’s programs in the college include Bachelor of Fine Art, B.Sc in Fashion and Apparel Design B.Sc in Textile Design and Bachelor of Visual Effects. They all point out that the college targets to deliver specialized education in art and technical disciplines.
