The Institute of Nursing Sciences, Miraj – GPMT was set up in the year of 2005 and one of the most consuming nursing education organization situated in Sangli, Maharashtra. This is co-educational affiliated college through which the nursing council approves through Indian nursing council (INC). Currently, the institute is having a total of 52 students and the faculty members are as many as eight people, so, the educational process is rather individual. GPMT's Institute of Nursing Sciences offers two full-time degree programmes: GNM which stands for General Nursing and Midwifery together with Post Basic B.Sc Nursing stands for hence the aim of establishing a nursing college to offer quality education in the health-care profession to the people.
Institute of Nursing Sciences also has a host of facilities intended to support a student’s learning process. It is in fact the nerve of the college and boasts of having 3500 nursing books, 12 international journals and 5 newspapers in Marathi and English. It also provides Wireless Fidelity connectivity, and sitting and standing areas with light and air provision. It boasts of a stock functional laboratory, a basic nursing laboratory, a nutritional laboratory, a communal/ community health nursing laboratory, and a maternal and childhood health nursing laboratory. These facilities are equipped with other necessities, dummies, manikins, and other other tools in order to ensure effective training exercise to the students.
GPMT's Institute of Nursing Sciences offers two full-time nursing courses: the 4 year General Nursing and Midwifery , 2 year Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Both programmes include the necessary theoretical background and practical skills to perform a nurse’s profession successfully. The institute has a total controlling strength of 70 students only, so that each and every student can easily get personal attention and quality education.

Degree Wise Admission Process
GNM, or General Nursing and Midwifery, is a 4-year course at GPMT's Institute of Nursing Sciences. This course will thoroughly prepare students in theory and practice to successfully work as a nurse. The GNM intake is 40 approved students.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: The course lasts for two years and is designed specifically for registered nurses who wish to broaden their educational qualification. The program will build from the GNM curriculum or its equivalent. The approved intake for the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing program is 30 students.
Both the programs are totally structured in accord with the theoretical aspect followed by practical training. Also, such a limited in-take assured each student with individual care and approach to the well-equipped setup of the institute.
