Guru Har Krishan College of Education, Karnal was set up in the year 2008. It is affiliated with the University situated at Raitkhana village, Indri Tehsil, Karnal district, Haryana. The institution is duly approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, and imparts its specialized programs in the field of education. This college has a faculty strength of 16 and spreads over an area of 5 acres.  A co-educational system allows both boys and girls to fulfill their educational goals in an atmosphere congenial for learning.

Guru Har Krishan College of Education has two major courses in the field of education, B.Ed with 100 seats and D.El.Ed with 50 seats. Both are regular programs extending to two years. The admission procedure of Guru Har Krishan College of Education is meritorious, based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. Admissions to the B.Ed course shall be as per the policy of the State Government/UT Administration and the University. Similarly, the D.El.Ed course follows the selection process prescribed by the State/Central Government, UT Administration, or the affiliating University.
