Gyan Bharti College of Education, Karnal, was started in 2007 as an affiliated college in Haryana, India. The institute received its approval from the National Council for Teacher Education, and under it, the affiliated institute runs specialised programmes of education. It is located on a compact 1-acre campus, with a total of 414 students and a faculty strength of 23. 

The college has a different array of facilities to aid students in their academic and personal development. The library serves as a learning resource centre with a huge stock of books on education, general knowledge, and subscriptions for various newspapers and periodicals. Laboratories, such as Science and Mathematics Resource Centres, are well equipped and provide practical work opportunities. An ICT Resource Centre supports education-related studies through state-of-the-art technology resources. The institution also has a multipurpose hall for conferences and symposiums, sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games, and a canteen providing healthy food to the students. Medical and first-aid facilities are also available on the campus, which helps in safeguarding the students. Wi-Fi connectivity, transport facilities, and space for parking are also provided by the college to students and staff.

Gyan Bharti College of Education runs a total of two full-time courses related to education. The sanctioned intakes of the B.Ed. and the D.Ed. are 100 and 50, respectively. This former course of education is undertaken for professional training in teaching and educational administrative service. 

Admission to Gyan Bharti College of Education will be strictly based on merit, using the marks obtained at the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college adheres to all policies and guidelines issued from time to time by the State Government of Haryana, UT administration, and the affiliated university regarding admission. In the case of the B.Ed. program, admission may be offered based on additional criteria as per the current educational policies.
