About Hindu College, Sonepat
Hindu College is one of the high-ranking co-educational institutions in Haryana, India. Established in the year 1956, the college is located opposite to the Railway Fatak in Sonepat. It has been an affiliated one and has evolved into shaping young minds in its precincts over more than six decades. The 7-acre campus provides all facilities needed for academic pursuits and at the same time, it provides all the facilities for an all-round learning experience. With a total student intake of 1,489, backed by a faculty strength of 44, Hindu College offers a wide variety of courses, 15 in number, under as many as 8 degree programs.
The college has quite a few provisions that better the learning experience of the students. In the centre of these facilities lies a huge triple storied library, well-stocked but an array of 74,250 books from the shelf, covering all diverse disciplines. Further, Hindu College subscribes to several national and international journals. In the addition, the reading room is well furnished, spacious and occupies 300 students. In the sports sector, the college provides facilities for playing various outdoor games, such as volleyball, hockey, badminton, cricket, basketball, and athletics. There are three computer labs with 80 systems, having facilities for Ethernet networking with broadband internet connectivity. Apart from this, there is a seminar hall for conducting events and seminars, a decent health centre having basic first aid facilities, a canteen, and a gymnasium.
Hindu College, Sonepat imparts a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The college offers day courses; all 15 courses offered by the college are full-time programs. The populating undergraduate degrees offered by the college include BA, B.Sc (Medical and Non-Medical), B.Com, BBA, and B.Sc Computer Science. At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Sc programs in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics in addition to MA programs offered in English, Hindi, and History.

The college has good infrastructure. The classrooms are decent and the library is well-equipped with commerce-related books, reference guides, and journals. The academic blocks are also Wi-Fi enabled but the network is sometimes unstable. The college campus has a small area for outdoor games and basic facilities for indoor games.
