Hooghly Mohsin College, Chinsurah provides a number of stipends, scholarships, fee concessions and awards to meritorious students in terms of endowments and government regulations. HMC Chinsurah scholarships are offered to promote quality education and offer help to deserving students. HMC Chinsurah has a student Aid Fund for helping the poor and needy students.
Under the Amalgamated Scholarship Fund, there are many awards provided to HMC Chinsurah students. The Paramesh Chandra Mullick Award is offered to students with more than 60% marks in science subjects and a minimum of 50% in Arts and Commerce subjects. Manjugopal Bhattacharya Award, Benoy Krishna Modak Award and Bholanath Basu Award are provided to the highest scorers of English Honors, Mathematics Honors and Chemistry Honors respectively in the Part III Honors Final Examination.
Nilmoni Mukherjee Trust Fund is awarded to the highest scorer of Economics Honors on the basis of Part I, Part II and Part III combined results. Rani Katyayani Trust Fund offers an award to the highest scorer of the Final Year internal examination for each honor subject. Brojendra Nath Ghosh Physics Award Trust Fund is awarded to meritorious and needy students of Physics Honors every year. The highest scorer of Political Science in the final examination of degree and postgraduate courses is awarded with Professor Prasanto Kumar Ghosh Award.

I had three best years of my life here.
College Infrastructure
1. Great location - by the Ganges, campus with lots of trees inside it. 2. Connectivity - Connected by major railway station, Chinsurah. 3. Fees - Being a fully owned govt college, fees are very negligible. 4. Facilities and Equipments - All necessary things are present in the labs. Smart board and WIFI would add just the right touch. 5. Hostel - I didn’t stay in hostel. So can’t really comment about it.
I love my college and college environment with all things.

The state on the college buildings is favorable all classrooms are quite large and well lit. The library has many different kinds of literature and periodicals, thus it is an indispensable help in studies. The overall look of the campus is neat and well-manicured.
