Indic Institute of Design and Research or IIDR established in 2008 is one of the famous educational institution, situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Located in a huge area of 28 acres of land, IIDR has successfully set its position of technical education. The institute is an affiliated college which is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education meaning the quality of the courses offered will meet the standard set by AICTE. At present, IIDR has 129 students in total, including students from Master of Public Health – Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health programmes The college also has 32 faculties who pay close attention to the students to make sure they are achieving optimal learning.

The Infrastructure endowed on Indic Institute of Design and Research is inclusive of a range of facilities that add on the educational value. The institute has hostels for male and female students to ensure that students especially those in resident hall have a conducive environment to study. Hostel facilities separate specially designed canteen according to the university and good spacious roomed with add on of study room. The College library is a place of storing and sharing the knowledge, which includes a large number of textbooks, reference books and electronic data base. It laid great importance to the English language, literature and management books so as to produce competent professional. The college’s sports facilities will provide enough grounds for any sports lover to engage in any sport of their desires. The institute also has given importance to technology by setup computer center with the latest of computer and broadband connection. Some of the other infrastructural recourse include canteen services, an event and seminar hall, transport to and from various destination, internet and Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the compounds and well stocked laboratories that enhances learning by practice.

The institute presently offers a limited number of diploma courses, though it covers all emerging segments of engineering and technology where trained and qualified professionals are critical requirements. IIDR currently provides three full-time diploma courses: Mechanical Diploma, Electrical Diploma, Civil Diploma.
