Infant Jesus College of Engineering and Technology is located in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu and the college was set up in the year 2001. Established on Tirunelveli-Thoothukudi National Highway, this is an AICTE deemed college located in an area of sixty four acres. The faculty of IJCET provides the students with flexible inter and intra-disciplinary specialisation programmes with 13 courses i.e. offering a total of 468 seats to students across 3 different degree types. The college is proud to have an adequate team of 105 teachers which makes the student teacher ratio desirable. As an institution devoted to technical education for the students improving it’s reputation in the region, the IJCET offers features specialisqation areas including Mechanical, Aeronautical, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Infant Jesus College of Engineering and Technology has excellent facilities aimed at supplementing the education of the students in the institution. The campus main facilities include male and female hostels which can accommodate four hundred and three hundred student respectively. There are facilities that include mess, recreation and study in each of the hostels. IJCET has a dispensary which functions on a part-time basis and has an institutional partnership with the leading multi-specialty hospital at Tirunelveli. The gym which housed in the men hostel is well furnished and people interested in fitness activities can pay a visit. The college has a central library with an area of 10000 feet perches and contains 32000 books with many periodicals journals etc. It is also equipped with a digital knowledge centre used in accessing e-resources. To supplement this technical curriculum, the college has made provisions for computer facility in each department with well equipped lab along with central computer center with 300 terminals and high speed internet connection.

IJCET provides 8 course options, all of which are delivery full time programmes. The major products of the college are undergraduate programmes in the field of engineering which are abbreviated as BE. In total, the approved intake is 468 students in all the offered courses. Engineering divisions and courses offered in the institution align itself with different engineering fields whereby students can choose areas of their interest in engineering.

IJCEt offer the simplest admission procedures. The college relies upon the scores obtained in their 10+2 or equivalent examination and particular emphasis on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
