The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Meerut, was established in the year 1987. Located at the 77th Milestone on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway, this affiliated college spans across a sprawling 12.5-acre campus. With an affiliation from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the IHM Meerut offers four diversified degree programmes through an intake of 322 students. The strength of 13 committed professionals ensures individual attentions towards each student, providing quality education in the fields of hospitality, hotel management, and applied nutrition.

IHM Meerut also boasts infrastructure available for its students, supportive to their learning experience. There are many laboratories in the institute with professional environment and are well-equipped. Among these is the modern Housekeeping laboratory which makes an endeavor to provide a simulated real-life hospitality environment. There are advanced computer laboratories which work on the principle "One student one computer" which means that the students have to be trained in compliance with technological demands of the industry. The library has a big collection of various books, periodicals and journals both Indian and international. For overall educational development, the campus also has sports facilities like table tennis halls, badminton courts, and basketball courts. There are several categories of full time course, designed to suit the ever changing requirements of the hospitality sector. These range from the flagship 4-years Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) with 108 seats, the 3-year B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, and 3-year programmes in Bachelor of Computer Applications and Bachelor of Business Administration. The very plurality of programmes available gives students the ability to choose streams that are ideally suited to their overall career aspirations in the hospitality sector or other related sectors.

The admission process at IHM Meerut is structured in a manner that allows only the most promising applicants to study here. For the B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration programme, the institute accepts scores emanating from the National Council of Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination, which is a parameter for aspiring hospitality professionals.
