IR Polytechnic, Bengaluru was started in 1986, which is one of the popular technical institution situated at Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Established affiliated college according to AICTE Delhi norms, the college provides a number of diploma courses in numerous fields of engineering. Total number of students admitted in IR Polytechnic is 71 and the faculty members constitute to 41, which ensures a personalized learning. 

The campus of IR Polytechnic is well facilitated today to enhance the students’ performance and develop them completely. The college lacks a proper IT department, but all the students have access to modern technology in their learning processes. Having available in a library collection of the printed works and other related materials to carry out research or study. The institute has separate laboratories for each of the departments enabling the students have practical lessons in their respective department. To provide for the multi-dimensional development of its students the college provides sporting amenities and an auditorium for cultural programmes and seminars respectively. In addition, the institute has different hostel facilities for boys and girls to facilitate the stay of students who come from different parts of the country.

There are a total of five diploma courses offered at the centre out of which all the courses mentioned are full time. The institute offers Diploma courses focusing on Civil, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & telecommunication and Mechanical fields. These courses are relevant to all the branches of engineering and ensures students sets firm academic ground in technical education.
