Islampur Government Polytechnic, set up in 2015, is a co-educational technical institute in Islampur of West Bengal. This government-owned institution is an affiliated college with an approval by the All India Council for Technical Education spread over 2 acres of land. The polytechnic runs three diploma courses with a total enrolment of 540 students supported by 12 faculty members. The Islampur Government Polytechnic aims at delivering quality technical education to young and budding engineers of the region in the disciplines of Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Survey Engineering.
Various facilities have been made available in the institute for academic and personal growth. A well-stocked library acts as a knowledge base, while modern laboratories for practical learning in various departments lend support in carrying out the said motto of the institution.
