Jagrani Devi College of Education, Baradwar, was founded in the year 2009. Jagrani Devi College of Education, Baradwar, is an affiliated institution and is situated in the Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. The institute is NAAC accredited as well as NCTE approved. The institute is situated on a campus of 1.95 acres and has total 200 students enrolled here and also provides a co-educational environment. The institute provides one degree programme in the name of teacher education specialization in teacher education. Jagrani Devi College of Education is only dedicated for teaching the quality education related to teaching and has provided many facilities to the students for better learning.

There are separate hostels for boys and girls. 35 and 25 hostel rooms are available for boys and girls respectively. The hostels maintain indoor and outdoor game materials and regular medical check-up is carried out by visiting doctors. The college library holds more than 4,780 books that include 1,049 textbooks and 23 reference books, along with subscriptions for 24 journals and 9 magazines, plus e-resources online journals and databases, and the campus has Wi-Fi connectivity. For practical learning, Jagrani Devi College of Education operates several laboratories. These include the methods laboratory, the psychology laboratory, the science laboratory, education technology laboratory, and a computer laboratory. A teaching aids preparation workshop is also offered to support teaching, along with hands-on experiences. 

There is only one course being offered by the Jagrani Devi College of Education, that is, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. It is a full-time course for two years and has an intake capacity to accept 100 students. The B.Ed programme is put forward to produce good teachers, while equipping students with knowledge and skills required to be good teachers. The B.Ed programme conducted at Jagrani Devi College of Education admits students solely based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam.
