Jatiya Kabi Bira Kishore Government College was established in 1972 in Cuttack City of Odisha State, and it is one of the prominent educational institutions of the state of Odisha in India. This affiliated college at present has 1,559 students and is built on a 3 acre of land with different undergraduates courses to offer. The college enlists 25 committed teachers to maintain a proper student-faculty ratio in its classes. NAAC accredited institution proves that the institute is striving towards its academic excellence, approval from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Currently, carrying 19 courses and 6 degree programmes, the college offers a full range of academic disciplines, starting from arts and ending up with commerce and sciences.
They pride themselves in providing the following facilities that seek to improve the lot of the students. The campus has separate hostel facilities for general boys and girls, as well as, SC/ST boys and girls. Education being the key agenda of most institutions, the library is equipped with two separate reading halls for pls +2 & +3 student’s with a carrying capacity of 50 and 100 students respectively. This college has opened doors of opportunity for sports people which has put the college into recognition in basketball and cricket at the university level. There is no computer center in the institution but it has tie up with Computer Point where necessary computer related needs of students and staffs are met. It also provides well equipped practical laboratories, gym hall for physical health, and adequate space for parking.

The list of degrees offered are B.Com, BA, B.Sc, and a host of honours course in subjects like Economics, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, Odia, Psychology, English, Philosophy, Sociology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, and Education. It's a very good govt. college.

Yes my college have almost necessary infrastructure but a small place. Only arts block is so big but others aren't. Facilities and equipment are good as per our college requirements. No there isn't any wifi for student uses. There isn't any hostel of our college. The college is good but not great in case of hygienic.
