JDT Islam College of Nursing Calicut was started in the year 2005 for offering nursing courses situated at Vellimadukunnu, Calicut, Kerala. Situated at gossip, this co-educational college has 4.2 acres of land and is an affiliated college and NAAC&INC approved nursing college. According to the number of students which is 227 and number of faculty members 8 makes the college more specific for teaching. At the moment, JDT Islam College of Nursing offers only one course, namely, B.Sc Nursing with the nursing care specialisation to society to show its aim of churning out qualified nurses.

The JDT Islam College of Nursing has designed several facilities to improve on the environment for a student and the quality of education to be offered. The library is the most evident feature of the centre and includes a large number of references, national, and international journals along with the availability of a large reading hall with a broadband connection. For practical training the college therefore has well equipped laboratories in line with the needs of the department. Remaining with the Physical aspect, the college also has a gym, and sports amenities. The institution only offers one full time course, the B.Sc. Nursing that takes four years to complete. In this programme, the college has an approved intake of 60 students in order to maintain that important student-to- faculty ratio that is perfect for close supervision.
