JSS School of Nursing Mysore was set up in the year 1988 and is Located at Mysore as an independent nursing college. Located in Mysuru Karnataka this co-educational institution occupies a 5.13 acre campus preparing students for a life dedicated to nursing. Affiliated to Indian Nursing Council the JSS School of Nursing was established more than 30 years back to produce competent healthcare manpower. Presently the institute has 259 students and it has 28 faculty members so that the institute has maximum facilities to provide personal attention to the students and also quality education.

The institute has a number of facilities that supplement teaching and learning to ensure that students receive all round development. A library is well equipped with various resources as a source of knowledge, and laboratory is also equipped with fancy equipment as skill is vital in nursing education. Facilities: Modern Information Technological facilities are incorporated in the campus to update the students on current technological advancement in the health sector. Welfare: Aims at the progressive overall development of the students and staff. The school has sporting facilities and a gym for exercise and growth in all areas of learners and employees of the institution.

JSS School of Nursing offers two full-time nursing programmes. General Nursing and Midwifery – 3 years and B.Sc nursing – 4 years programme. The GNM course has 60 intakes, and the B.Sc Nursing has an annual enrolment of 40 students. In particular, the fact that the institute offers only full-time training based on the intensive curriculum proves the institute’s organisational attempts at preparing competent, well-rounded healthcare professionals who can cope with the difficulties and demands of the medical employment area.
