Kaliammal College of Education situated at Karur district of Tamil Nadu was started in the year 2005 with affiliation. Established at Pavithram and Post, No.305/1 Karur-Covai Road, Kalaiyarkovil, this institution is co-educational approved by NCTE – The National Council for Teacher Education. The college occupies an area of 6 acres of land, enrolling total of 250 students in a single programme of study. At present, the institute if this faculty has a strength of 16 members and hence keeps the teacher education closely knit.

Kaliammal College of Education offers all the requirements that enable the learning and growth of the students in their various activities. The academic library being well endowed is stocked with many books with about 1900 titles and 3335 volumes of books for teacher education, twenty four (24) journals and twenty three (23) volumes of encyclopedias. The reading room has a sitting capacity of 50 students at once. To support practical learning the college has various laboratories including Psychology, Biological Science, Physical Science, Education technology, Computer, and Language laboratories. With well equipped Information Technology, the facility has modern electronic items like LCD projectors, Slide projectors, computers adding value to teaching learning process.

Kaliammal College of Education has only one course which is the Bachelors in Education (B. Ed). It is a two-year course that being a full-time course shall be implemented all year round and has an approved student capacity of one hundred. The B.Ed programme aims to produce qualified candidate who can practice effective teaching profession in education. 

It is auto financed institution which follows reservation policy and admission is based on merit- the marks scored by the students in their respective qualifying and/ or entrance tests. The college follows the policies of the state Government, Union Territory administration, and University selection norms.
