Kamban College of Arts and Science for Women, Tiruvannamalai Known as Kamban college, it came into existence in the year 1996 is a private college for women and the college is affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. Sited in an 18 acre, this institution is accredited by NAAC with a ‘C’ grade. The college presently has 26 programmes in nine identified areas of study, a population of 3,285 total students and 110 faculty members. Kamban College is an institution devoted to delivering education to rural women, especially in science turnover, interdisciplinary sciences, and skill development.
Kamban College of Arts and Science is well equipped with various structures which enhance the learning and Personal Development of the students. Well stocked library is library situated in the premises has more than hundred thousand volumes, 350 CDs and 40 National & International Journals. Equipped with modern and first rate laboratories for various departments then it can support carrying out research and practical lessons. A large, roofed but open-air arena contains more than 2000 students for cultural and academic assemblies. It also offers facilities such as IT structure with Wai-jee internet facility and computerised laboratories. In terms of students’ health there is a gym and sports facilities such as a basketball court for students. Students’ health requirement is adequately met with the available first aid facility and an officer working as a resident college doctor.
Our college include courses for learners at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. It offers 26 courses among undergraduate such as BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA and BCA and postgraduate courses like MA, M.Com, M.Sc and M.Phil.
