Kameshwar Narayan Singh Government Polytechnic, Samastipur was established with the primary objective of meeting the growing demand for technical education in the region. It was named in honour of the visionary leader, Shri Kameshwar Narayan Sing, who had a strong commitment to education and community development. 

Kameshwar Narayan Singh Government Polytechnic, Samastipur offers a wide array of Diploma in Engineering courses including, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Electronics Engineering. The three- year full time Diploma programs are provided by the State Board of Technical Education, Patna and are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

It is approximately 36 km away from the Samastipur Head Quarter, making it accessible to the district's administrative hub. 

The campus is conveniently located approximately 10 km from the Dalsinghsarai Railway station, ensuring easy access for students and faculty who rely on rail transportation. Additionally, it is approximately 22 km away from the sub-divisional Head Quarter in Rosera, providing access to regional administrative services.
