Kamla Nehru Girls College, Satna was started in the year 1966 as an affiliated college for girls at Satna Madhya Pradesh. This institution endorsed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for various courses in teacher education, has been imparting education for young women for the sum of more than five decades. The college offers three undergraduate programmes: General education programmes includes B.El.Ed for education interested students and B.A, B.Com for other interested student. Currently faculty in our college consists of 11 faculty members all of whom are dedicated to a teaching profession to impart quality education to the students. The campus is located at P.O Satna, Tahsil–Rghurag Nagar, Satna – 485001 creating a conducive learner environment.

Kamla Nehru Girls College has boasted of offering students a number of companions in their education journey. Most of the libraries act as knowledge centres in order to meet the necessary needs of books, journal and reference documents. For the part of professional experience, the College has departmental laboratories adequate for practice with respective disciplines of study. In all there are three full time courses available at Kamla Nehru Girls College. The B.Ed programme which is a two- year course, has an approved strength of one hundred students in compliance with the college’s focus on teacher education. The two three-year courses of BA and B.Com forms the academic programme completion and offer the students the options in arts and commerce. Although, it is difficult to establish the exact intake for the different years of BA and B.Com; the existence of these courses has enriched the college realm. Classes are all credited full time based on the belief that students deserve the best education and should be trained for the right profession best suited to their abilities.

Admission policies at Kamla Nehru Girls College differ for different courses. As for the B.Ed course, candidates are admitted on merit with reference to the marks scored in the qualifying examination and /or B.Ed entrance test.
