Founded in the year of 1986, the Kamptee Polytechnic is an autonomous institution based in New Kamptee, Maharashtra. This technical institute has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and offers diploma programmes in various engineering streams. Located within a 5-acre compact campus, Kamptee Polytechnic has a total student intake of 239 and a faculty strength of 28. The institute has four full-time diploma courses, each extending into three years, with specialisations in Civil Engineering, Mining and Mine Surveying, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

The campus has separate boys' and girls' hostels with quality living in the company of other students who have come from different regions. A well-equipped library provides a good collection of 4,478 titles with 22,459 volumes in addition to 21 journals for academic pursuits. At the same time, institutes also worked out sports facilities, gymnasiums, and swimming pool arrangements indicative of their commitment towards all-round development. Kamptee Polytechnic has departmental-based laboratories and a computer laboratory with 256 Mbps internet connectivity. Kamptee Polytechnic offers a total of four diploma courses, all full-time programmes. The total intake of students in all the courses taken together is 120, with the intake in each programme being 30.
