Kannur Medical College, Anjarakandy (KMC) is one among the most popular medical colleges founded in the year of 2006. This affiliated college is situated in Kannur and has a total area of 218 Acres. KMC is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and it provides number of medical courses. This college has a faculty team of 136 members, which takes care of the education of its students. KMC offers 12 courses in 3 degrees programmes in different fields of medical specialisation. In addition, it is pronounced to be a co-educational institution which makes it affordable to students from different background.

Medical requirements of students are met by a good health centre with a first aid section. Kannur Medical College has its own policies of admission which are both merit based and standard. MBBS programme admission is through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG) examination. All aspiring candidates must obtain a score in NEET and must also meet the requirement required by the college. Likewise, the postgraduate courses or MD/MS are also administered through conduct of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG).
