Kazi Nazrul Islam College of Education is one of the newest colleges in India and the Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, where the college is located is the newest college having been established in 2019. This co-educational college is an affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Based on a 0.5-hectare compound, the college only has two programs that work with 50 students at most. The institute has at present a faculty of 12 members that ensure that the student-to-teacher ratio is suitable. Kazi Nazrul Islam College of Education is a college that focuses on value-based teacher education to train teachers for primary and secondary education.

The college has provided various built-in and non-built-in infrastructures to facilitate the students. It is a sturdy reminder that a library is a place where important resources for academic processes are stored. Sports: There are facilities for sports for all students with regard to physical development. The college also provides well-equipped laboratories for practicum sessions and practicals. The courses of study in Kazi Nazrul Islam College of Education are two full courses in education only. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) programmes are the programmes that cater to the students for the teaching profession in the school system. Each of them takes two years to complete and is available only in full-time study mode. The approved intake capacity for each course is therefore fifty and this means that collectively, the institution admits one hundred students in both programmes annually. This mode of operation enables the college to deliver quality education and, at the same time, deal with many students individually.

Kazi Nazrul Islam College of Education follows the standard admission procedure based on the marks secured to the students or to and/or entrance test. Admission policies in the college are aligned with the state government of West Bengal and the university to which it is affiliated. If a candidate wants to apply for a B.Ed. program, he or she has to sit for an examination or else meet the selection procedure through the norms of the state government and the university norms.

Likewise, for the D.El.Ed. programme admission is made either meritorious in the qualifying examination or through an entrance test, as per the Government of West Bengal or any other state government or Union Territory norms.
