KDR Government Polytechnic, Mahabubnagar, recognised in 1959, is positioned in Wanaparthy, Telangana as a premier Technical Polytechnic Institute. The affiliated college which is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) provide standard education in the various fields of engineering. Wanting a suitable environment for the students to assimilate knowledge, the institute occupies a vast plot of 20.36 acres. KDR Government Polytechnic has a total enrolment capacity for students, which is 663 and Faculty strength including Principal as 29, so that the students and staffs have more interaction with each other.

The college also have many facilities that can improve the total learning environment of the college learners. Book Center. KDR Government Polytechnic has trained its students in a total of six diploma courses and all these courses are full time. These courses offers the basic knowledge of diverse fields of engineering that enable the students to build a firm background on their area of specialist.
