Yashodhadevi Gangadhar Kulgude College of Education, Athani; it was started in the year 2005 for the teacher education society of KLE. This affiliated college is present in Athani, Karnataka, and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) as well, offering quality education in the teaching field. Stretched over an area of 4.19 acres, the college provides an appropriate educational climate. The total number of students enrolled at the institute is 181, while the number of faculty is 16 and therefore the ratio of students to faculty is reasonable and healthy to enhance the institution's goal of providing individual counselling.

The college has more of some of the facilities to improve learning among its students than any other college. Another important facility is the well-stocked library that will be useful and equipped, having many books in stock that concern different educational subjects, such as Philosophical foundations of education by Elliot Eisner, Psychological foundations of education by Howard Grigo, Educational technology by Alex Molin and Educational Management and Administration by Allan Hannah. Education is also covered in numerous journals and encyclopaedias provided by a helpful and unpretentious librarian.

In this aspect, the KLE Society’s Yashodhadevi Gangadhar Kulgude College of Education is specially designed to offer excellent teacher education. The Institute currently teaches only one full-time course, the B.Ed., under which it has been approved to admit 100 students. This programme of study takes two years to complete and has been specifically developed to enable students to become competent teachers.
