KM Asghar Husain College of Education has proved itself to be the hub for educational shaping since its establishment in 1990 in Akola. The co-educational institution is affiliated to the NCTE-approved National Council for Teacher Education, stationed on a compact campus of 4 acres where aspiring educators are trained in an exact, focused environment. The college has an enrolled strength of 87, with a faculty strength of 6. Hence, the academia is intimate and encourages closer student as well as teacher interaction.

The flagship course of the institution, B.Ed programme, is approved with an intake capacity of 50 students per year. The full-time two-year course is meant to equip students for a rewarding career in teaching at the secondary and higher secondary levels. 

The admission is given based on marks in a qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college strictly maintains the admission policy of the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated university. For B.Ed and M.Ed programmes generally involves a selection process which may include entrance examination, details of which may vary from year to year.
