Situated in Madurai – the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu in South India – KM College of Pharmacy is a well-known institution of pharmacy education that was started in 1981. This college is located at Uthangudi, Madurai; this co-educational college offers the programmes in pharmacy at the UG as well as PG levels. PCI approved KM College of Pharmacy to work as an affiliated college so the quality of education is maintained in the field of pharmacy. This is a hilltop campus, located in a serene environment, occupying an area of acres for its operations. The college also has a student-teacher ratio of 13; a total of 582 students and 44 members of the faculty. As stated, the institute teaches 2 courses in two levels of degree programmes covering different fields of pharmaceutical sciences. 

The college provides a number of learning amenities that are intended to facilitate the academic process of students. A fully stocked library proves to be an important information centre which receives a wide coverage of pharmaceutical literature and other materials. The school compound has well-equipped, technologically enabled laboratories which provide practical exercises to the students in different areas of pharmacy. In order to facilitate the students, there are separate hostel accommodations for both male and female students. The college also has a health centre where different first aid equipment and facilities are provided for students' health. Spending on sporting infrastructure is done with the help of recreation and sports to enhance fitness in the population. A college incorporates many contemporary approaches to learning; hence, the college has a modern IT system. In order to support Guildford College also provides a cafeteria for the nutrition concerns of the learners and staff. Amenities such as an auditorium, as used in this case in cases of events and seminars, help in creating the academic environment.

Apart from the traditional UG course, the KM College of Pharmacy offers other pharmacy courses that include the PG, diploma, and M.Pharm. The institute offers 2 full-time programmes. At the undergraduate level, the college offers B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy) with a strength capacity of 90 and D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) with a strength capacity of 100.

It is critically important for KM College of Pharmacy to establish a proper and efficient admission policy that is accurate. As in the case of B.Pharma, students are recruited into the academic programmes with a qualifying cut-off mark that depends on their performance in entrance examinations as well as other academic qualifications.
