K M Patel College of Education, based in Ahmedabad, was established in the year 2008 with the aim of developing into an institution of excellence within the state of Gujarat. This affiliated college, with approval from the National Council for Teacher Education, works with a firm goal of shaping the future of aspiring educators. It sprawls over 4 acres in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad, which is an ideal setting for learning and growth. With a total enrolment of 210 students with a corresponding 16 faculty, personal attention and quality education are assured. It has a well-equipped library-the hub of knowledge-with books, reference books, periodicals, journals, and encyclopedias related to different streams of education and teaching methodologies. It also has science and psychology laboratories at the institute which facilitates experiential learning. Physics Laboratory: The laboratory has been provided with apparatus to conduct practical experiments, charts, slides, microscopes, and chemicals. Psychology: The test manual, test charts, and models according to the curriculum are available in the laboratory. The KM Patel College of Education had adopted technology in education and equipped modern IT infrastructure with state-of-the-art modern computers, internet services, and multimedia devices. KM Patel College of Education offers only one course, that of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. This is a two-year full-time program whose aim is to mould competent and passionate educators.
