Koustuv Institute of Self Domain (KISD) was set up in 2002 and is affiliated to the University of Odisha, Bhubaneswar. University for Women, or KISD Bhubaneswar, is located on a large area of 17.86 acres in the middle of Infocity. KISD has a vision that enshrines the idea of proportionality of student and faculty; well, the institute takes 72 students and is staffed with 38 faculty members. Today, the institute offers only one programme, the degree programme in Computer Science and Engineering, to meet the growing needs of qualified IT personnel in the region.

KISD Bhubaneswar has many facilities It offers and provides all facilities like other modern universities to improve student satisfaction. The modern library of the college has the state-of-the art Lib-Sys software library which contains books, journals and periodicals for supporting academics and researchers. For practical experiences, science laboratories and workshops are fully equipped for training of junior professionals by qualified technicians. The institute is also accountable for the comfort of students through the availability of a girls’ hostel that has spacious well-furnished rooms, and the hostel has provision for providing nutritious meals. For smooth connectivity, KISD has maintained sound IT facilities, with students getting an opportunity to upgrade in the technology. In terms of academic offerings, KISD Bhubaneswar currently focuses on a single full-time course: Computer Science and Engineering or software engineering. This is an intensive programme that will run for four years and whose aim is to provide the students with adequate, innovative and relevant information and skills in the technological area of computer science. 

At KISD Bhubaneswar, students’ admission solely depends on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, which recruits students for engineering institutions across the country. This, of course, brings the institute in line with the normal admission processes adopted by most of the recognised engineering colleges in India.
