Kutir Post Graduate College, Jaunpur, was started by Kutir Shiksha Prasar Samiti in the year 1971. It is today one of the premier post-graduation educational institutions in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college has been sprucing up the academic scenario since its inception, with its campus spread over a 23-acre campus. The institution is both accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, testifying before its ultimate goal of quality education. The PG College at Kutir offers 26 courses and 7 degrees to its 1,479 students enrolled under the 34 dedicated members of faculty. It designs a rich mixture of the programmes in arts, sciences, and education, thereby rendering nurturing of multi-discipline learning to the students.

At Kutir Post Graduate College, the process of admission is designed to be free from discrimination or bias and, above all, transparent in nature. In almost all undergraduate courses, admission is provided based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. However, admission to the B.Ed. course follows a much more comprehensive policy. This college admits students to the B.Ed. course based on the policy of the state government and the university. Admissions are made on merit, basing the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. For greater transparency, the college also considers other selection processes as stipulated by the authorities.
