Located in Hyderabad, Lakhotia College of Design was founded in 1997 to extensively develop the creative concepts in design field. The college is situated in Hyderabad city and three campus are occupied by it throughout different areas of Banjara Hills, Abids and Tarnaka. Being an affiliated college, it has a wide array of twenty two courses in eight diversified programmes for the learners willing to be professional designers and art workers. The institution occupies a small but strategically designed and developed area of 1 acre which facilitates student’s learning. Lakhotia College of Design is promoted by a team of 12 professional members providing efficient and effective education in streams like Fashion Design, Interior Design, Architecture and Mass communication.

The college is aware of the need to make available and offer the best quality of equipment in order to improve student’s learning environment. The library of Lakhotia college of design as an extensive collection of over a 10,000 books,This includes the range of fibres, fabrics trims and accessories required for designs. Students also can use magazines related to their sector in order to be aware of current tendencies in it. IT for Design and Design for IT motto is supported by infrastructures and technologies in the college to prepares students in accordance with today’s technological aspect of designing. In terms of practice, the students are provided with technically equipped studios, laboratory, and workshops that constitute the effective mode of instructions to enable students to get practical experience to fit the metal and bring their concepts into reality.

Lakhotia College of Design has all round courses to suit the different areas of design to ensure students are fully equipped. They offer 22 courses with full and part-time degree programmes, diploma and advanced diploma. Some of the popular and famous course are B.Des Fashion Design International and International B.Des Architecture International, B.Sc in Fashion Design, B.Sc in Interior Design, and M.Sc in Fashion Technology. The college also provides post high diploma courses like Graphic Design, Fashion Photography, and Architecture Assistantship.
