Laxmi Devi Mahavidyalaya, established in 2008, is an affiliated college of Madaripur. Situated in over 4.2 acres of land, this institution is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Four distinct degrees are provided by the college for a total enrolment of 450 students. Laxmi Devi Mahavidyalaya currently has a faculty strength of 23 members, which includes only the committed and dedicated educators for their students For candidates, the college has a good number of students for each teacher to ensure quality education.

Laxmi Devi Mahavidyalaya, Madaripur is affiliated with the college Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. Among the facilities available for use are: These are the facilities available in the college with an aim of improving the learning process as well as the development of the students. A centrepiece of these amenities is the school library, which holds 4,876 books, 16 educational journals, and 35 encyclopaedias. The library of the university also contains a reading room, which has a capacity of 300 students for reading purposes. As applied facilities, the college provides departmental laboratories along with developed IT support. 

Other amenities that students may also enjoy include sports fields, a canteen, a hall for occasions, and seminars. It also has a Wi-Fi-enabled campus whereby the students can comfortably access online and internet resources. To enhance the health standards of those students and staff who are conscious about fitness, the university has a gym on campus. Laxmi Devi Mahavidyalaya has four full-time courses in total, which aim to meet the different needs and wants of students. These programmes are BA, B.Sc., B.ED, and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.ED). The B.Ed. programme, which is a two-year course, has been approved for an enrolment capacity of one hundred students The D.El.Ed programme, which is also a two-year course, was approved for a capacity of fifty students.
