LN Nursing College is one of constituent institute of Barkatulla University situated in Bhopal which was started in the year 2011 to impart education in nursing. This college is situated at J.K Town, opposite to J.K Hospital and is spread over 3 acres and is well situated in the.th centre of the city of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Total enrollment from the college is 593 students and the college has 81 faculty members and offers wide stream of nursing programs. 

Currently, the college offers 9 courses at 3 levels of nursing degree focusing on different areas of nursing care. According to the gender distribution 319 students are female and 119 male this showing the high interest in the Nursing course among female students. UG and PG courses are offered by the college and the UG enrolment is 17% non-Keralites and the PG enrolment is 10% non-Keralites which gives a mixed feel to the students.

The LN Nursing College has amenities that would provide a conducive environment to uptight faculty and improved students’ learning indicators. The college has developed a rather large and functioning library to offer students the best literature on nursing. For practical training, there are departmental laboratories for student training where they can practice physical, clinical skills in the presence of an instructor or healthcare facility. It also has an IT platform in order to address the current needs of a college or university. 

Facilities for health and fitness are provided with first aid facilities through a health center and students are also provided with a gym for exercise. The college compound consists of amenities for sports in order to provide recreation services. An auditorium is used for events and seminars they enhance the academic environment at the university. Food is also provided by a cafeteria and beverage is also available for the consideration of the staff and students. The college also offer guest room amenities to accommodate the faculty member who visit the college and families of students when they visit the college.

The courses that are offered at LN Nursing College are wide to cover most specialties in nursing. A total of 9 courses are offered in the institution; these are undergraduate and postgraduate programs. There are two programs that offer at the college level, these include; the 4-year B.Sc Nursing that takes learners through an undergraduate program and the 2-year Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. In postgraduate studies the programs available are quite varied; M.Sc programs that take two years of study and areas of specialization such as Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing and Child Health Nursing. However, the college also has a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course and a Diploma in Emergency and Disaster Nursing in response to the particular demands of the health care system. All these programs are full-time, which makes it possible for trainee’s to be trained intensively in nursing. The actual number of seats that can accommodate the programs are not clearly mentioned, but the total purse which can accommodate all course students is 593 which shows the capacity to accommodate nursing education.

The admission requirements for students at LN Nursing College are intended at choosing hardworking and competent individuals in the nursing field.
