Madhubala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media (MICEM) was set up in 1996 and is a wellknown institute situated in the capital city of India- New Delhi. Located in the area of Madangir Village, this affiliated college has been maintaining the new generation of the media industry for more than 20 years. At present, MICEM operates in a small campus with a size of 0.55 acres and serves only 104 students. The institute provides a beneficial student to the faculty ratio of 11:1 with 11 dedicated teachers to focus on each student and his education.
MICEM boasts of training and development affiliation of first-rate training facilities for the next generation media practitioners. The college is built with an effective library with a collection of over 8,565 books 11 International journals 7 online journals 18 National journals 19 magazines and 7 newspapers. This large collection is further supported by video cassettes, audio cassettes, digital and other multimedia sources that can really be a treasure trove for masses studying mass communication. There are also some well-equipped IT infrastructure and laboratories to establish students with new efficient media technology. If students need to relax, they are welcome to dine in the college cafeteria or play sport activities. MICEM also focuses on the well-being of students provided with health facilities accompanied by first aid.
The centrepiece of the academic tuition provided by MICEM is the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication. This course takes three years full-time and offers students broad knowledge of the media environment. The basic areas that may be taught include print journalism, broadcast media, new media, and media and ethics.
