Mahamaya Polytechnic for Information Technology, Kasganj, was founded in 2016 and belongs to Uttar Pradesh, India, with an agreed mission of providing quality education in information technology. This establishments is a technical education one and it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education Livewire AICTE. Spread in a 5.481-acre area, the polytechnic has total enrolment capacity of 495 students in three diploma programmes. At present, the faculty strength of the institute is simply 5, which makes the course more personal. As with many technological institutes, the main thrust of Mahamaya Polytechnic is to provide results-orientated, vocational education for the technology-driven industry of the new millennium. 

Mahamaya Polytechnic for Information Technology also undertakes to ensure that students that attend the institute are exposed to modern teaching facilities. Classrooms are well lit and adequately sized for multi-class grouping, are fan- and air-conditioned, and contain multimedia projectors, smart boards and overhead projectors, which promotes interactivity. Mahamaya Polytechnic for Information Technology has three diploma courses, which take 3 years each. Specialisations of such programmes offered here are diverse to suit various branches of engineering to cater for student’s employment opportunities in various fields. The courses are Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical Maintenance. The overall intake sanctioned for all the courses is 144 and the common number of seats for each programme offered is 48. Unfortunately, graduation figure of the latest year is missing However, the overall headcount of the institute tallies with the intake capacity of the institute, implying that the number of students enrolled in the institute is just as good in all years of study. 

For getting admission in Information Technology at Mahamaya Polytechnic, the admission procedure is very simple and it follows the norms of the Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP). For admission in these courses, students have to face the entrance examination held once a year organised by JEECUP.
